All kids deserve a safe, neutral learning environment in which parents’ rights and student welfare are considered in every decision. How exactly did Michigan end up with unconstitutional and dangerous gender-ideology instruction and concealment? Here is a timeline of important events:
2016:
MDE instructed local schools to hide when students choose to transition their gender at school from parents. SOURCE

January
President Trump passed an Executive Order “Defending Women from Gender Ideology Extremism and Restoring Biological Truth to the Federal Government”. SOURCE

The Supreme Court declared it unconstitutional to make it impossible for parents to opt-out of gender ideology teaching. SOURCE
October
MDE required this teaching for graduation by writing Health Education guidelines that weave the topic throughout the entire local curriculum. SOURCE

January

United States Department of Justice announces its investigation into Michigan schools violating federal laws. SOURCE

Republicans nominate Bree Moeggenberg & Terence Collins to run on the platform of saving Michigan schools. SOURCE
